Perhentian Island (Pulau Perhentian,

My first visit to Pulau Perhentian during weekend.
It was the toughest travel ever in my life.

It's a very famous diving spot and not only local people but many foreigners also go there. As they open the island on about April for the season, my boyfriend could not wait to dive xD We just went there without booking an accommodation.

We left KL at 9:30pm on Friday by bus and arrived at "near" the port at 5:30am on Saturday. (The bus company told us that the bus would go to the port to the island but actually they just dropped us in the middle of somewhere town, and a guy from the bus company rent a car and charged us 5rm per person to send us to the port. It was like 20-30 mins away from the port.)
Anyway, we finally arrived at the port and took the first boat to Perhentian Island. It takes us to the island for 30-40mins by boat depending on the weather and Rm70 for round trip.
The weather was so clear on Saturday and our boat was not shaky at all. I enjoyed the journey.

The boat is not so big, just for 20 passengers and you must wear a life jacket.

Just before arriving at the seashore, they just dropped us in the middle of ocean and told us to change the boat to a small boat with a motor as the big boat can't reach to the seashore. So we had to shift to the small one carrying our big backpack....

8:00am
After landing on small Perhentian  safely, where many backpacker hotels are, we tried to find an accommodation...
Luckily we arrived earlier that others and got our room.
100rm: A room with aircon, shower heater
*During pick season and holidays, it's better to book a room in advance.

The room was quite wide and there was a W-size bed and a dresser. They turn off electricity from 9am - 6pm.

Since I don't have a diving license, I was just waiting for my boyfriend coming back from diving. Once I tried to go for a walk but it was too hot to walk around under the sun...

There are some restaurant cafes on the beach.
They have local food (Nasi goreng, noodles....) and fish and chips and spaghetti and some more!!

At night, they have beach BBQ which seems very famous and classic!!

After Lunch, we went for snorkeling.
The ocean was really clear and blue!! So many weird looking fish and sea cucumbers!! Although I can't swim, it was fun!!
1 hour passed so quickly and we tried to go the other beach which name is D' Lagoon. According to my boyfriend, it would takes us to go there for 30 mins by going through jungles.

OK, let's try!!

We just walking walking under the hot sun with bikini and just followed the sign board..... It was a very hard effort without a goal.
Just walk!!

After going through the jungle, suddenly I heard the sound of waves.

OMG!! Finally!!
But first we need to rest for a while with 100+ after walking for more than 1 hour T.T

Snorkeling time!!
Here we (he) saw a baby shark!!!

We called a taxi (boat) to go back to our beach. And actually it was just 10 mins by boat lol

It was a full moon night and very good for a night diving.
You could imagine how nice it is if you love to dive at night :) Unfortunately I  don't know yet how the dive is nice...

At night, they have a beach party till very late.... like 2am or 3am.... it seems very happening!!
We didn't join the party at all as we decided to leave here at 8:30am on the next day.

Sunday, 8:20am
We checked out the room and ready to leave, went to the small jetty to take a boat.
????
We missed the boat??? We had to be here before 30 mins????
What time is the next boat???

WHAT? 12 in the afternoon?????

Our bus is 9:30am!!!!

Our plan was ruined in a moment.....

OK, we can't do anything. Let's wait until 12 while having a breakfast.
It was very nice chilling at a restaurant on the beach.... nice view...

Uh-oh-,
Huge dark clouds were coming... After for a while, it started to rain very very heavily.....
Sigh... we moved to inside the restaurant.
It was most likely stopping but started raining again... repeating and repeating...

11:30am
We headed to the small jetty for our boat and we left there at 11:50, and we picked up some people at some ports but during this, the wave was still strong and it made me really sea sick while we halted on a same spot.
After we picked up people, the boat didn't depart.... and crews told us that as the ocean was too rough, we had to change a boat which can take this heavy waves.

@.@

We had to wait until a bigger boat came to us...
Hmmm =.= I was extremely tired and sick because I didn't have enough sleep . Finally the bigger boat came!!
But as it was raining heavily, the boat was very shaky... I have never experienced this kinda sea sickness... So tired...

It took us for almost 2 hours to reach to the main island.

We headed to Kota Bahru by taxi and it took for almost 1 hour.
There is a small shopping center which has Parkson and small shops. Anyway we tried to kill time until our bus came. In the town, besides the mall, there were Mcd and KFC and small chinese shops and mamak and many hotels around the area.
We went to buy tickets to a bus terminal. Since it was on Sunday, it seemed many people were going back to KL from KK. So we could not get the earliest bus.

@20:45
Our 5 star bus came...
It had huge seat which can recline and a bus attendant(?) can serve you a blanket and small meal and drinks.(All included in the bus fee)

It was very very comfortable.
From KK- KL around 65ish... (I forgot exact price)

@5:30 on Monday
We arrived at KL.

Super tired....
It was a a very long trip for 1 night in Perhentian Island.

I would prefer relax and chilling holiday thou... :p
Anyway, thanks to my boyfriend that took me to a nice place.

そうすると、そのうちMySejahtera(マレーシアのコロナ関連トラッキングアプリ)に更新され予約時間が設定されます。

Sri Lanka Trip: Troubles with Taxis 1.

Earlier, I mentioned about Donation Fraud in Sri Lanka. Starting from this experience, my experience in Sri Lanka was miserable ... T.T (Maybe miserable is too much to say, but I still believe that orange bracelet brought us bad luck.) Now I would like to share some other experiences in Sri Lanka. 2. Three Wheeler  On the 2nd day in Sri Lanka, Kandy. We requested a Three Wheeler at a hotel reception to go to the city. It was 300Rps to go to the city, as our hotel was a bit far from the city, it took us to get there for 20mins by three wheeler. At the end of the day; we tried to get a three wheeler at the same point as we got off in the morning. One three wheeler stopped in front of us and asked us to get in. We told him our hotel name and showed him the hotel address, but he did not know where the place was. He asked around with other three wheeler drivers and finally he got where. At that moment, our three wheeler was already moving and the meter was not on...
