Starting from this experience, my experience in Sri Lanka was miserable ... T.T (Maybe miserable is too much to say, but I still believe that orange bracelet brought us bad luck.)
Now I would like to share some other experiences in Sri Lanka.
On the 2nd day in Sri Lanka, Kandy.
We requested a Three Wheeler at a hotel reception to go to the city.
It was 300Rps to go to the city, as our hotel was a bit far from the city, it took us to get there for 20mins by three wheeler.
At the end of the day; we tried to get a three wheeler at the same point as we got off in the morning.
One three wheeler stopped in front of us and asked us to get in.
We told him our hotel name and showed him the hotel address, but he did not know where the place was.
He asked around with other three wheeler drivers and finally he got where.
At that moment, our three wheeler was already moving and the meter was not on and also we had not negotiated about the taxi fee.
So, we asked how much?
The guy: Your hotel is very far, so 500rps.
Mina Tequila: What? No, we hired a three wheeler from our hotel, and it was only 300rps!!
The guy: No, it's very far.
Again....I'm fed up with negotiating with taxi drivers =.=
So we still kept insisting 300rps and if not asked him to get us down just there.
At the end, he agreed with the price, 300rps.
Hmm... I suddenly sensed worried, and checked my wallet.
OMG, you know what, I didn't have 300rps just, but got only 500rps note. I was like, "ok... anyway he agreed with 300rps, so let's hope everything will be smooth."
When we arrived at the hotel and my boyfriend paid him with 500rps note. The guy just took the 500rps note from my boyfriend and said "No Change!!" We were like WHAT?!!! and asked him to give us back the money and tried to exchange money at the hotel reception. However, he just tried to escape and be insisting "No Change!!". While this, I was sitting on the three wheeler and didn't move at all.... lol
This was quite embarrassing because the hotel staffs and other hotel guests were looking at us. Why do we have to waste our time on this stupid thing? 100 rps, 200rps are actually small money, but why do they need to beguile money from foreign tourists???
Still my boyfriend was talking to him and at the end, the guy just gave us back 100rps...
さて、ここではThree Wheelerのおっさんとのトラブルをお話します。

街中心部へ観光に行くのに朝、ホテルのReceptionでスリーウィラーを呼んでもらいました。
ホテルから街までは少し遠く20分くらいかかるので、300Rpsかかりました。
それから、1日の観光を終えて、朝スリーウィラーを降りた同じ場所へ行き、帰りのスリーウィラー を探していると、あるドライバーが来て乗るように言ってきました。
そしてホテルの名前と住所を見せたのですが、新しいホテルなので場所がわからず、、、周りにいる他のドライバーたちに聞いてようやく分かったようです。
実はメーターを使うとかいくらとか、その時はネゴしていなかったんです。。。
いくら？と聞いてみると、
ドライバー: 遠いから500Rpsやね！
Mina Tequila: でも来るときはホテルのReceptionで頼んで300で来たんですけど。。。？
ドライバー： あかん！遠いから500！
またや～！もうこんなくだらん値段交渉に疲れた。。。そうやって外国人から金を巻き上げようとする。。。
とりあえず300で主張しまくったら、仕方なく同意してくれ300で行くことになりました。
ただ少しイヤな予感が、、、、財布を覗いてみると、キッカリ300RpsがないT.T 500Rps札しかない。。。とりあえず、うまくいきますよ～に！！！！
しか～し！予感的中！！！彼氏が500Rps札で払うと、ドライバーは取り上げてしまい、「お釣はなし！」と言い張り、返してくれませんでした。「300で同意したくせに！」と言っても全く聞く耳持たず。ホテルのReceptionで両替をしてもらおうとしましたが、お金を返してくれない。最悪。
Mina Tequilaはスリーウィラーの中に居座って、金を返すまで、降りませんでした笑。
ホントにムカつく！ホテルのロビーの前で騒いで、みんな何事かと見てるし。。。と、いうかなんで外国人からいつも金を巻き上げる?=。= 安心して観光客が旅行できる日はいつ来るのか？100rpsなんて小さいお金だけどさ、そういう精神が腹立たしい！

What I can suggest you are,
- Keep small money like small notes or coins for taxis, so that the payment will be smoothly done.
- Ask the driver if he uses a meter or fixed rate, in case of fixed rate, ask how much before you get in the car.
- If you don't want troubles by this, you can ask for a taxi at a hotel reception or a restaurant or a shopping mall.

この経験を通して気をつけること、
- お釣がいらないように、細かいお金は別で取っておいたほうがいいです。このような問題がなくても、スムーズに会計が済むので便利です。
- 乗る前に必ず、行き先とメーターを使うのか、使わないならいくらなのかを確認しましょう。
- こんなのめんどくさい！って方は多少高くはなるかもしれませんが、ホテルやレストラン、ショッピングモールでタクシーやスリーウィラーを呼んでもらいましょう。
